8th grade students wearing Camden Catholic t-shirts hold up a trophy after winning a STEM Challenge

Camden Catholic held its inaugural iDesign STEM Challenge on November 30. Over 50 7th and 8th grade students participated in this challenge, promoting an understanding of design thinking. Design thinking encourages students to define challenges in the real world, then image, create, and innovate a solution that improves a problem.

An 8th grade team of five from St. Peter School, the "Punk Spunks," won the backpack design challenge, and each won a $1000 scholarship to St. Peter School. Several teams from SPS competed. The Catholic Star-Herald even featured us! The STEM Program at St. Peter School challenges students in many ways.
