St. Peter School is very proud to have an outstanding S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program that it is truly distinguished among private and other local Catholic schools. In keeping with various initiatives, we have developed our program into what we call a fully developed “S.T.R.E.A.M.” program, which incorporates skills related to the aforementioned disciplines, but integrates them with the arts (language, music, art) as well as religion (“faith seeking understanding”). Given the strong commitment of St. Peter to the traditional liberal arts, we believe that this program rounds out a truly 21st century Catholic education. Our students will be equipped to read, think, write and speak, but to do so making use of the technology that characterizes communication in our present age.
The Objectives of our Program:
- Solve real world problems with the Engineering Design Plan using 21st Century skills
- Create a collaborative environment where students work together to solve challenges
- Lower elementary classes are literacy-based challenges
- Upper Elementary classes build design skills to culminate to the Google Science Fair
- Incorporate our Catholic faith and virtues into all we do for the greater good and the glory of God
