Each grade level has begun researching a topic using a 6 step research procees, we will begin talking about the science fair and how importent the RESEARCH/OBSERVATION step is to thier outcome. We will also review how to "cite" their sources. DEFINE TASK, INFORMATION SEEKING, LOCATE, ENGAGE, SYNTHESIS, EVALUATION
6th grade has been investigating The 6 Pillars of Character, they each created a sign about one of the pillars, you can view their work by clicking on the link. [1]
7th grade has been investigating Internet Safety
8th grade has been investigating Information Literacy (what it is,how technology has changed how we receive and share it, skills we need to be information literate)
To complete the research process which is to share the knowledge you have gained, we hope to share what we have learned in creative ways on this site.
The 6th grade has also had a lesson on plagiarism, what it is, how to avoid it, why it is wrong.
The 7th grade has worked on their Saint Reports for religion class.
The 8th grade created movies to share for THANKSGIVING, they researched how Native American's and other countries say Thank You in their native language, included information about the tribes or maps of the country of the languages orgin, and stated what they are thankful for.
