Dear St. Peter School Community,
Since 2012, Americans have been celebrating #GivingTuesday, a day to take a step back from the frenzy of holiday shopping and refocus our resources on charitable giving. Last year, #GivingTuesday raised more than $300 million for charities around the world, the most the movement has ever raised. For our part, we raised over $5,000 with our #GivingTuesday Campaign last year, which provided an unexpected boost to our annual fundraising initiatives. This year, St. Peter School has once again joined #GivingTuesday to help fulfill our mission to teach, model and nurture Gospel values in the Catholic tradition.
Given that you might be considering a donation to a charity this year, why not consider a donation to support St. Peter School? While tuition costs to our school can be a real sacrifice for our families, many do not realize that tuition does not cover the full cost of our operating expenses. St. Peter School relies on the support of its local parish (St. Peter) and Diocesan aid, along with critical fundraising efforts, to balance our operating costs. We are asking each family at St. Peter School to consider a small donation of $30/family; but we are also asking members of the wider parish community, and people of goodwill in general to consider any donation that might be deemed appropriate.
There are many advantages to choosing St. Peter School for your gift this year:
- Donations support a local cause; all monies donated stay at St. Peter School and are used exclusively for the operation of the school.
- Supporting Catholic education is an absolutely wonderful cause; a tremendous opportunity to give back and support the faith formation of a rising generation.
- Donations are tax deductible
- You can be part of a national movement in charitable giving
We are truly grateful for any gift that you might consider making to support our school’s fundraising efforts for the 2018-2019 school year.
