    In the event of inclement weather, delays, school closures, or early dismissals will be posted on our website as soon as it is confirmed. Please go to www.stpeterschool.org to review the message posted to the home page. Be sure to also review the Parent/Student Handbook regarding protocols for these situations.

    Our school closing number is 580. However, please note that since all of our busing is from Pennsauken Transportation, we generally follow the decisions of the Pennsauken Public School district with respect to school closures, delays, and early dismissals in the event of inclement weather. In the event of unusual changes to this protocol, you will be contacted by the principal via School Messenger (“all call” by phone), and Constant Contact email blasts.

    In addition we will utilize School Messenger for “all calls” to school families, send out an email blast, and post to the school website upon confirmation. Calls will generally go out no earlier than 6 AM and no later than 11:30 P.M. However, parents can check the website or email for updates in between these times.

    If we have a delayed opening (hour or two hour delay), students may generally report as early as 30 minutes before the scheduled opening. For example, in a two hour delay, school would open at 9:50, so students may report by 9:20. In an hour delay scenario, school would start at 8:50, but doors will open at 8:20. In the event of a delay, Before Care services will be cancelled and parents will receive a credit if they have already paid.

    We will generally avoid early dismissals unless mandated by the state of New Jersey. If Pennsauken Transportation declares an early dismissal, we will notify all parents of bus riders by email, phone call (to the best of our ability), and post this information to the website.

    If After Care is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will likewise attempt to notify all such parents by phone, email, and again this will be posted to the main page of our website. Parents who have already paid for After Care services on such days will receive a credit.
